1969 Datsun 240z Vin # 48. Although car is one of the first 240z cars ever produced it is very unique as it was date tagged 02/70. During production in Sept/Oct Vin # 48 had developed some problems on the assembly line and was pushed off to the side. The corrections were finally made but months after most of the other 500 or so early vin cars that were completed in Oct, Nov, and Dec. The car has every 69 production characteristic including plastic chrome gas lid knob, red dot mirror, solid metal 240z quarter panel emblems, early fresh air radiator support vents, hat style hood bumpers, plastic inspection lid clips, no drain plugs on SU carb float bowls, and original vinyl floor and deck lid mats.
Car was meticulously restored by previous owner in 2000 and only has 5000 miles since restoration. The car is truly one of a kind and I am proud to have it in my collection.
