1970 240Z Fairlady

Here is my 1970 RHD Fairlady Z. I am the third owner and purchased this in the late 80's at a MSA car show in Orange, CA. I saw this car when I first got to the show and said there is no way I'll buy another car. Well fours hours later while leaving the show the car was still there. I told the owner lets go for a drive and the rest is history. I wired him the money the next day, picked up the car, purchaed new tires, and then called my wife ( Thats EX-WIFE now Praise the Lord ) and told her I'm driving my new car back. She told me I was crazy but two days and fours hours later I was pulling up to my house in Lutz, FL. I have to admit that was the greatest adventure of my life driving cross country in a RHD car without having all the other drivers NOT hiting me as they drove up next to me. Of course toll booths were also a challenge as the toll collectors weren't too happy reaching across my car trying to collect the toll.

The Fairlady is a 1970. It is the Japanese version of the 240z but with some differences. It is obviously a right hand drive. It came with a 2.0 Liter motor with twin S.U. carbs, factory 5 speed, and 3.9 grear rear end. Interior almost identical as the 240z but seat brackets are built higher and closer to the dash. It's almost like a high chair LOL. All gauges are metric and clock is the rally sport model. It only has front marker lights and has two mirrors mounted to front fenders. The grill is very unique. It is a wire mesh style and looks very nice. All exterior emblems read Fairlady Z and one badge on decklid reads Nissan.
